TM 9-801 Mentions drycleaning fluid for cleaning parts. (See John I do read it now and again

)
Is there an equivalent we can use for the same purpose?

Brake cleaner works quite well ,but shop around cause it can get expensive.
Carb cleaner has it's use but it will remove most of the paint it come it contact with, so I only use it for "fuel system " items
Hope this helps
John
PS Don't forget to read the SNL manual too
