The GMC CCKW

Is this the correct bleeding sequence:1)Hydrovac(2 points),2)left rear wheel,3)left intermediate wheel,4)left front wheel,5)right rear wheel,6)right intermediate wheel,7)right front wheel?

Remember - furthest point from the master cylinder is first and the closest is last (this could be a little different - depending on how the brake lines run.....). I did the following sequence when I bled mine out (I have a 3rd Series Hydrovac):

1) Hydrovac
2) left rear wheel
3) right rear wheel
4) left intermediate wheel
5) right intermediate wheel
6) left front wheel
7) right front wheel

Also, I don't have the TM on me but I believe you may need to pay attention to which bleeder you do first on the hydrovac - can some one out there with quick access to the TM confirm this?

Thanks thundercat 97.I have the TM9-801.I saw in this TM the hydrovac sequence(2 points), but the wheel sequence not have.I did mine CCKW sequence based in Willys Jeep 1942 bleeding sequence in its TM10-1513(same reasoning).

I never bleed the hydrovac. Just start at the most rear brake cylinders and work your way to the front. Which side to start first doesn't matter. My Jimmy brakes fine with this method.

Chris,this is the correct hydrovac bleeding sequence,based in figure 164(page 334,TM9-801) and "(2)BLEED HYDROVAC-The hydrovac unit must be bled before bleeding the wheel cylinders and must be bled in correct sequence."(Par 180,page 335).See the pic with numbers 1 and 2.

Yes, I know Fernando. To bleed the Hydrovac first is certainly the correct way. From my own experience however this is not necessary.

How do you get the air out between the master and slave cyl.?

I just connect a transparent plastic hose to the slave cylinder. The other end is dipped in brake fluid in a plastic bottle. I open the screw. Then I let another person step on the brake pedal continuously until no more air bubbles are visible in the hose. Then I close the screw. That's it.
