Frank von Rosensteil has the kits avail for both 6 valve and the 2 valve.
He advertizes in Supply Line and MVM

Hope this helps

Steve,

Give John Bizal a call at Midwest Military, Inc. He has all the parts and special fixtures to rebuild the 6 valve fuel pumps. They do lots of Dodge pumps and other dodge specialties but he knows CCKW's too.

You can do it yourself but I would send the pump to them and have them do it. I watched them do a demo at there shop once. The special tool set up he has does a better job than I can do on the bench at home.

The parts are US made high quality replacements.

Contact them in Prior Lake MN (Near Minneapolis) 952 440 8778. Web site is http://www.midwestmil.com

I agree with Catman. Have an experienced rebuilder do the work...but check where he gets his parts.

The levels of alcohol in the new fuels does a real number on the original rubber diaphragms...thus I would stay away from NOS fuel pump kits (produced in the 40's and 50's). The newer pump kits, made with tolerant materials such as viton, should give years of trouble free service with the "new" gas. Again, I would question the supplier or rebuilder and find out what they are using as rebuild components.

Foir further information there is extensive discussion of this compatibility on the net of old parts and new fuels.

Good Luck,

Bill

While I think ethanol is not yet such a problem for older engines in Europe, I have been trying to do something about it and got state-of-the-art fuel pump parts and advice from Then and Now Automotive in Massachusetts. They know their pumps and make parts out of Buna synthetic rubber.
