Hi
Any one out there might know the size of the clutch head tool, to fit the screws that attach the door hinges to the cab pillar on my closed cab CCKW?
These tools and screws are difficult to find in the UK, unless someone can tell me different, and I just do not know how the tool sizes are established.
Hope you can all make sense of the question.
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if this will help on "your" side of the pond
States side "Snap -on Tools" has a set of clutch head sockets/bits, 5 pcs, in all 2 are 1/4" drive and 3 are 3/8" drive (IIRC

)that will fit all the sizes found on the G506s
I will look later and see if there is a size designation stamped on them.
The small bit as found for the numerous interior screws can be had at the local hardware store.
Hope this helps
John

Hi
Thanks for your reply, would be helpfull if you could find the number, there are Snap-On dealers over here, but clutch head tools are difficult as they sell very little, if I had the number it would be a lot easier.
Thanks
Rob

Years ago, before I found the right sized one, I took an extension and got the end red hot with a torch and literally beat it into one of the hinge clutch head screw. It took the shape of the clutch head screw. Later I heated it up and doused it to harden it a bit. It worked!
