Hello the Board! I have two NOS tail lights on my CCKW, SWB. The only problem is the wiring harness in the back has no male connectors attached. Where in the world can I get four of these. And what do they look like??? Are they similier to an automotive light bulb with the glass and filiment broken out? Can I take a bulb and solder a wire into it? Any help would be appriciated! Thanks

Lug nut,

The wiring harness pigtails for the lights can be purchased from any of the many HMV parts suppliers. (Due to the mating grooves on the WWII mil light buckets they are not something that can be found at NAPA). They are the same on most WWII mil vehicles, soft skin and armor. I purchased mine from a Jeep Dealer. I used Peter Dibella as he had kits made up for the rear lighting.

These are only pigtails and will have to be soldered or crimped into you vehicle wiring harness. There is 1 dual filament piece and 3 single filament wires. These are recently made repros.

I was not as happy with the last batch I bought as the wire has become shorter. I was considering contacting Vintage Wiring of Maine to see if he had pigtails with longer wiring. It is my preference not to have the junction of the pigtails in the direct area of tire spray for corrosion reasons.

They are not inexpensive.

Bill

Thank you!

A lot of the stuff we use on these old CCKW's can be found being used on jeeps also and that includes the wireing harness for tail lights as they and the trailer coupler are the same.

Thank you
