Script Engine Panels -- Till When?

I have what I believe is an April, 1942 Chevy G7106 Cargo/Dump. I say "believe" because the main dataplate lists the Date of Delivery as "1942" along with the serial number "9NH 6-5291" which corresponds to June, 1941 Chevy biuilt in Norwood, OH... I'm certain that there's a "1" in front of the "6" (= April, 1942) but it's very faint. That's the only production month number (16) that could have appeared in 1942 afterall?
Anyway... The truck has the military dash, overhead dataplates, standard BO Marker Lights and "afterthought" BO Drive Light grill holes. Would this 4/42 truck have come with the CHEVROLET embossed engine panels???
I'm hoping NOT as I have a very nice pair of non-script ones to put on...
