Hi guys

This week I brought a visit to a scrapyard here in the Netherlands
and this time I took my dig camera with me.

This scrapyard is
established in 1928, the company (Reomie) has specialized in Military Vehicles since the end of 1944.

It mostly sells M series trucks nowadays.

About 30 years ago they also sold ww2 jeeps and trucks.
A few cckws are since then left somewhere in the bush.
There should be 2 more (2 cargos), but I couldnt find them anymore.

Here I found 3 CCKW cargo bodies with 2 spare wheel carriers.
This pics shows only 2 cckw bodies with the 2 spare wheel carriers.

Outside I also found a few split axle shafts

Here a few out of hundred regulators or more.
Inside there are also early and late models mb/gpw and cckw
regulators, but not much. Most went to old iron scrap container
about 2 years ago, Iam talking about dozens.

On this note, does anybody know how many GMC's were sold/supplied to Norway?

Those are great! I think I could spend a couple of days in a place like that. How bad is the rust on those older trucks? it looks like the beds are rusty,but I'd take a rusty bed over none at all. Thanks for posting them. What did you bring home from there?

I have more pictures, may be I post them next week.

The trucks are very rusty, only good for parts and some bodyparts.
Not realy candidates for restoration here in Europe, thats to expensive.
The cargo would cost 900 euro and the LEROI s around 1300 euro.

There are good trucks for sale that cost less than 4000 euro that you
normally pay for a good truck.

A good example is this truckhttp://www.auto.2dehands.be/markt/auto_ ... w-353.html , its for sale in Belgium with 12 new tires and a 12 volt system. Asking price is 2000 euro.

I believe you will find the beds stacked in the Pic are M-Series, the inspection plate on the front is the tell tale sign along with the "wire" type rope tie downs. Supreme Surplus in New Jersey used to supply me with excellent parts that he bought at REOMIE.

Hi Joel

Only the upper bed is a M series bed.
The other 2 beds not, the second bed is loaded with some
CCKW parts including 2 spare wheel carriers.

Reomie is an excelent parts dealer, but the WWII parts are almost
complete out of stock since a few years. They stock a lot of M series parts nowadays.

We bought a quantity of WC Differentials from Reomie in the early 80s and they were shipped in a CCKW Cargo Body, I still have one NOS CCKW Banjo Rear Axle assy from Reomie.

Hi many LeRoi compressor trucks do they have? I can see two in the picture.unfortunatly the parts I need for my LeRoi will probably be in the same or worse condition than the ones I have

In early 80ies they got around 70 CCKWs from the Dutch army as Iam
told, ready to go for 1250 euro.

There are 2 LEROIs, but I seem to remember that there are 3 Leroi s.
There should also be a split cargo without a front axle, but I couldnt
it find anymore.
This time it was impossible to get close to trucks, Iam
just a few years to late with my dig camera.

I remember going to Reomie yard in Ooy back in July 1990, at that time there were a lot of CCKW's, all parked in a low field, I have only just learnt that this field was subject to flooding, as I remember the trucks were in good condition, in fact I think they priced me one of them, but was a lot of money.
They still advertise in Supply Line, ' large stocks of trucks GMC. REO. DODGE ' etc., perhaps not quite the case now.

Your right, they stand in a low and wet field. The same place as in the
90ties.
The only sell lots of REO parts and overhauled REO trucks.

I almost could buy that Belgian 353 for the tires. You cannot find any NDT tires up here. Is there a supply of NOS or new NDTs in Belgium/the Netherlands? Ex Nato, French Army? Before long I'll have to buy a new set for my truck.

I understand, only the tires are more worth than 1200 euro.
New tires are for sale here in the Netherlands and Belgium.
They go for 100 euros each.
