The tool box at the rear of the GMC...........what was in it? Was there a tray that pulled out that had tools in?

Tow chain
Hi Jack,
Usually a towing chain or rope.the vehicle tool kit went under the drivers seat in closed cabs and in a special box on the firewall in open cabs.
