Don't fit worth a damn, are shorter, and set back about 5/8" from front of Radiator Guard. I have brought tons of this stuff back over the years, thru Supreme Surplus who was one of the first major importers of European US Army Trucks. He started in the mid 40s, and we bought from him from day one. The French Sheet Metal Parts started showing upin the late 60s, they do not always fit as well as GMC original.
I ain't the new boy on the block, and am just sharing a little experience. If you are a detail oriented CCKW enthusiast you will understand and appreciate knowing these minor details that do make them different. There are sme that want their trucks to be as original as possible, others may be just happy to keep them running best they can.

I am not a purist. I just want to keep my truck presentable and running and if that means replacement parts from france or Holland, or Norway that is OK with me. To me replacement parts manufactured in foreign countries to fit the trucks they have or had in service is an excellent alternative to replacement reproductions manufactured currently in the U.S., such as the massive amounts of jeep reproduction parts.
Still if you need a tail gate or reflectors or any other of the replacement parts needed to complete your CCKW, then the reproduction part is a perfectly acceptable alternative when an original NOS or TO is not available, in my estimation. This is not ment to cause controversy, this is just how I feel.

They were running short of parts and replacements were contracted out in Europe. There are differences, and if you are a CCKW enthusiast you may find this interesting. I f you have a truck with sheetmetal that is a little different, but you can't quite figure it out, this may be the answer. This thread is intended, to be informational, I just love to share details absorbed over many years with those who keep their chariots of steel going (or sort of).
Watch out for the "Rope-a-Gope"
