CCKW rear view mirror brkts.

Post by Matt »

I see John at Midwest Mil now has repro CCKW outside rear view morror arms with the bracket for a closed cab at $36 each, made in USA.

I'll be ordering one! I wonder if he's going to make other CCKW parts? his repro Dodge parts are spot on.

They are one of the shops that looked at the CCKW spare tire bracket... they wouldn't even touch it after 2 months of 'research'.

Good to see that they are putting out parts.

JB has longtime ties to the metalworking industry, he is very good businessman, and has a feel for the hobby. His products are good, the items do require investment, and prices may not always be WWII era. There may be a demand for a repro part, but the cost of meeting that demand may far exceed the pocketbook of the potential customers. Some parts are just not practical to repro, as the slow return on the investment does warrant the effort.
Mirror Arms are a welcome product, as they have been scarce for 25 years, and everyone wants them. I have not seen these yet, but in the past I have taken NOS long Miror Arms, removed the ring at the end and shortened them with tubing cutter to make Jeep and Dodge. I have One NOS early CCKW Arm Assy stored away and will look forward to comparing them. Do not hesitate to buy JBs products, your truck will smile.
