About that CCKW on e-bay 4547828209

Post by pfarber »

Comparing my truck to the one on e-bay I noticed:

I have the exact same 3 spoke steering wheel, in black. Is that an early version wheel, before the 4 spoker came out?

My tires are similiar in tread design... they do not look like the NDT jeep type tires.. are they at all close to what would have come on a CCKW ?

My girlfriend has bigger hooters.. are the hooters in the pics early or late war hooters (late war meaning smaller to conserve precious wartime hooter supply).

There appears to be a rail on the frame where the bed would go, and the fuel tank seems a little long and narrow.

It looks like an add on fuel tank, the steering wheel is identical to mine, which is made of hardened black rubber. As far as the hooters, they appear to be a late war add on also.

From the pictures it looked like the truck had the later axels, and I can't decide which was used harder the truck or the girl. Did the truck sell? I forgot to follow it,it looked like it could have been a good starting point.
