Does this mean you would still have to bleed the air out of the whole system, after installing the small piece of brake pipe as this would not have any fluid in it.
Interesting subject these airborne trucks,How many were made?

I believe approx. 2500 CCKWs were converted by 2 seperate contractors
If my understanding of the brake vavle set up is correct you could open the first valve in line , pump up the press. crack the fitting just prior to the second valve ( with that valve closed ) and bleed the air out there, then open the second valve with no air going further into the sys.
I would be curious as to what the example in Overloon shows in that brake valve detail.

After clicking through pages and pages of previous posts I uncovered a post by Joel Gopan that the "pipe " between the 2 valves is indeed a rubber hose.
It is interesting how many questions currently posted have been previously addressed.
