Anyone got pics (other than the TM) of the WWII open cab doors, installed or otherwise?
Also the mounting hardware (latches etc).
Thanks!

I will try to get some pics posted for you of mine. They are not as simple as the jeep doors and of course are very hard to find.

And not practical to repro, as there are many complex metal pieces. there are many details to the Canvas Cover as well. The cost just to recover one door to OEM Spec averages $100.00 ea. NOS doors can fetch $250.00 ea. The latest NOS I have seen were packed 5 to a box and dated 1956. NOS is fine, but time takes a toll on the lights as the chemistry of Mil Spec Canvas gives off a vapor and discolors them. there is a Canvas dealer in England that has offered recovered doors at around $500.00/set. If stored folded behind the Drivers Seat, time and grime take a toll on the lights and canvas.

Canvas doors are an expedient, and if used regularly, will show wear and tear, and should not be expected to last the life of of your restoration. The Army had "deep pockets" and a Supply system available when these items became unserviceable. Repro Canvas varies in quality, some offer real crap, a few have Mil Spec Duck.

Repro canvas doors made with mil spec canvas and using refurbed fittings are avaiable in the UK for £145 sterling per pair.
