Tell me abouth WD numbers W-4136679 S Closed) and U.S.A. 4543213 S
(open) They apear on a photo of what I think is ReBall Express (ASCZ on the frontbumper).
The one with cab 1608 (W-4136679 S) has the asymetric grille and Black-out light mounted from the factory, so I recon it must have beene delivered between feb and april 43.

One thing it demonstrates is that the Red Ball operation was not staged with late model CCKWs that rolled out of the factory at the same time, and that anything that could roll was utilized. Closed and open cab model CCKWs, whether early or late, served together throughout the war, and units were not segregated as to cab model or cargo body type.

Sunderlin's WWII cargo body article in AM 46 said there were 65,000 wood cargo bodies placed on the the final closed cabs in 1943.
