Where is (if there is) the stamped serial number located at on the frame of a longwheel base 1945 GMC CCKW :?: Thanks :!:

HI CONN

Have you found your ser# yet :!: sometime they can be hard to see filled in with several layers of paint , you may have to use a 4 1/2 grinder with a wire cup brush. It should be on the RH frame on the flat part of the frame just before the bumper forward of the tire :wink: I used a sharp metal pick to clean the paint out of mine and now you can see it with ease :D

Yes, Thank You. I found it, had to use a puddy knife, and some steal wool.
The "H1" following the #, helped me determine it was a tipper or dump truck...now I just need to find a dump bed. :) Thanks again.
