I'm looking for info. on different fuel tank beds for the CCKW's or CCWs, our CCW came with a tank on it made by GarWood Industries, can hardly find any info. anywhere about it, and was wondering if it was an uncommon piece. Will post pictures if someone is willing to host them.
Thanks!

If you are talking about the tanker truck, then they are pretty scarce in today's collectors market. Most collectors of Army Air Force trucks would love to have a fuel tank truck. Did the CCW have the tanker bed on it? If so that would stand to reason why it need not be a 6x6 as it would have been on hardstand duty.

Was there no cab on the truck when you all got it?

No there was not a cab. Can anyone help me identify this tank? I was hoping was a military style, but my dad doesn't think so. So any info is much appreciated!

Had there been a cab it would have been a closed cab.

Your dad is right. The military tank had only two separations and a slightly different configuration, though this tank is very close to what one looks like. I used for reference photos from Emile Beckers book and of course TM9-801 dated April of 1944.
However in absence of an original tank one could really make a passable AAF tanker out of that tank as it is early post war civilian. Would look good in a parade all yellow with black markings.
Remember not all of these old trucks are what they started out originally. Some real theatrics have been used to make passable WWII trucks and jeeps from really old abused vehicles.
For instance CJ2's made to look like MB's.

One of my CCKWs is an Army Air Force Aircraft Refuelling tanker truck that is very complete and only has 5,300 miles on it! (and won't be painted yellow Weasel-Nut

) That picture is not at all like the tanker body
That tank body is a civy oil tanker body for multiple grades of oil or gasoline
