Many of you may discover that the various wood slats on your Troop Racks, and boards used on your Wood Cargo or Dump Body have numbers stamped on them in 1/2" print. If you go to the Part and Drawing Number Index in the back of your ORD9 and ORD8, you will find its' discription. Many collectors are too quick to claim that these little numbers are the original USA Registration Number. This is another pleasant little surprise as you newbies strive to learn all you can about your pet CCKW.
I have NOS GM-2141240 Wood Spacers(not repro) that go between the Front Step hanger and your Running Board in original Factory Paint with the Part Number in 1/2" letters. $12 will land you a pair via Priority mail.
