Kemble truck owner.

Post by UK Jack »

Hi guys.

I know the owner of the Compressor truck ( 1st picture, top left hand corner from the great collection from Deryck) as featured at the Kemble Victory show at the weekend. It belongs to a very nice gentleman called Dick Sheppard who is a strong name in the HMV world over here in the UK. I have looked over this truck many times as he lives just a couple of villages away from me, small world.

He has a great collection if vehicles that include, jeeps, WC's, Reo's, GMC Tanker, Pontoon Truck...............lucky so and so. I believe the GMC Compressor and Petrol Tanker are up for sale.

Best wishes.

Jack.

I would love that LeRoy but the cost just getting it back to the USA would be prohibitive.

Small world indeed,as you say Dick is well known in the MV world but the last I heard from him was that it was the Bolster truck that is for sale but you may have spoken to him sice me.

Hi Degsy.

He certainly is a character. I know his taker was for sale as well as he offered it to me not so long back.

He was telling me that it was the truck that was in the film Memphis Belle.

Cheers

Jack.
