GM Files.

Post by Matt »

I did email GM and asked if they had an archives department,I explaned that I am researching WW2 CCKW truck production.they gave me the address of the GM Heritage Center,Archive department in Grand Heights,MI.

I will write to them in due course and see what kind of a responce I get,if any.the more enquiries they get the better as they might realise that folks are actually interested in history.

As I said before Daimler-Chrysler will provide the record card for any truck they built in Detroit during WW2,it costs $20 and takes about six weeks, their staff are very helpful and when I ordered the card for one of my trucks they said as it didn't contain the full information normally found on the cards they were not charging me for it!

Lets hope somone has the sense to preserve the WW2 GM files.
