The GMC CCKW

Wow, I kept it under my belt until it was here and now its here .
I bought my truck from Kevin Kronlund and he was absolutely wonderful to do bussiness with.

The web site lists so very few of the parts that they have for sale.

Call them if you need CCKW parts... they had truck on top of trucks when I went out there for parts a few months ago. Really amazing.

Corne, you are 100% correct. This is going to be a really fun project. The thing I love most is that it is all there (bed, wooden steering wheel, etc.), and it runs too. Let the fun begin .

This CCKW came with 40 other cckws from Norway 8 years ago,
they have always been parked inside and they came in running condition.
They have been owned by a private collecter in the Netherlands, Iam sorry cant give his name and adress.
Armycars bought last year 10 SWBs and some LWBs dont know how
many he bought. But I recognized all CCKWs on the internetsite.
I hope they are parked inside there.

Exactly the way mine started. You are now in for some hard work and much fun. Study the TM before you start turning wrenches. Ask questions before you buy parts. Invest in an OEM quality Battery, so that your truck will always start. I buy the OEM type Delcos, have only had two in 23 years.

Well, there are a lot of parts that I am going to need, but I believe that they should not be hard to get. At first look, they truck looks really rust and bad, but when I look closer, it is just all chipped and flaky paint a minor surface rust. The only spot with major rust is in the usual spots by the floorboard. Cool thing is I looked behind the seets and I found the hand crank (not that I want to use it, I'll probably break my arm trying).
