Although I have not watched mine for a few years, I suggest all to buy the Vintage Video film on Driving the CCKW. It is Black and White as modt WWII TFs were, and loaded with pics and sounds of 1941 vintage closed cab CCKWS. I love the sound of the CCKW idling away on the film, one can just hear the reverse idler gear whining away in the transmission as it idles, and the drone of the 270. Mine sounds exactly the same. You will catch glimpses of Pioneer Tool Bracket mounting positions, and early USA numbers around 429XXX or 430XXX. The film was from around late 1941 and is my style of show, as it takes me back to the good old Army days. Be careful, as not all of Vintage Video film will be what you think you are getting. It is not his fault. This one is OK. Do not think you can restore your truck from this film as it does not stand still). Mine is VHS, and maybe he has it on CD by now. This shows EARLY CCKWS, and was the standard CCKW TF used throughout the War, the films were not up graded to show Vans, Tankers etc. The specifics of the truck you were instructed on were taught hands on at the actual Drivers Course. This is just an introductory classroom film. I probaby held the US Army record for not falling asleep during training films.
