I was able to get the 40 GMC out of it's hole thursday, drove it around the lot a bit and dumped the 20 55 gallon drums off the bed, some full of something,I tried to get the brakes up but the pedal is stiff,up or down,I got looking at the linkage and couldn't believe all the extra stuff in that setup,I assume the stiffness is in all those extra bell cranks and rods, how much braking will I have if I disconnect the booster,I'm only going ten miles and the parking brake works good, can I stop this thing with out the booster? The way the linkage is installed, the brakes work w/o the booster and it is basically out of the loop. It can only push/help. It cannot hinder unless the link it is connected to is frozen.

I believe you have other problems.....
