WHAT'S IN A PICTURE?

I have a beautiful pre WWII color photo of a negro mechanic working on early CCKW. It was taken at Ft Knox in 1941, the hood is open and the details of an early 1574 Cab and engine compartment jump out at you. The serial number of the cab is even visible on the firewall. The number is close to that on my 1574 cab.
I can even smell the grease on the mechanic's coveralls.
Wonderful hobby, the CCKW.

AD, do you have that picture?
Being a retired Colonel, you must have many pictues from your exciting career. Were there any WWII trucks in San Salvador when you were Military Attache to that country. You have commented on the WWII Aircraft they had. Did they maintain any aircraft for you keep up with your flight pay?

It's work in progress, and an art to keep it running trouble free and not grinding gears during shifts.
