Do your truck a favor, fling the waterbucket. A little paint, a few new parts here and there, a tune up, your truck will say "thank you".

And omit the word Deuce from WWII CCKW lingo, you will be instantly be recognized as a novice, it just was not used in those days.
The habit is hard to correct and can be construed that the person doesn't know what he is talking about, which is quite often true

He wouldn't be using the word "Deuce" if he really knew, right?

I was all about Deuces when I had a M35A2 - that truck was awesome. But once I got my CCKW, I forgot that 'word'.

I have been in contact with many CCKW drivers from WW2 and most of them have called it a "6 by 6", a "6 by", Jimmy or CCKW in their stories. I do ask if they used the term Deuce and they have said no, that is the new truck....

Of course my 'sample' observation pool is not that large....

Yes this was a termed used for the M35 and not the CCKW......?!

Never entered the GI vocabulary until Vietnam in the mid 60s.
