Tough week

This has been a tough week here at Cole. A lot of our students have parents deployed to Iraq and Afganistan and this is the first Christmas a lot have not had that loved one here for Christmas. We also have students whose parents are currently recovering from wounds at Brooke Army Medical Center and of course it is tough on them also. To help boast moral the teachers have been dressing up in different costumes all week. I don't know if it has helped but it is about all we can do. These military brats are an amazing bunch of kids.
Merry Christmas to all of those serving and to their dependents.

I can understand totally. This being my 5th deployment since 1999. That is the hardest part of being a military family during the holidays.
But it is the price we pay for freedom. A price I'm willing to pay, and I'll always be 1st in line!

Thanks Colin, that blanket of security you and the others provide is the very basis of our freedom.

I want to second AD's response to Doc and all to all Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and members of the Coast Guard serving the world over.

It is because of their sacrifice and of the many who came before them, in every conflict, that we have what we have. Some in the general public take that for granted I do not. Our prayers are with you.
