I need to get insurance for my CCKW.

I got a quote from Hagerty with 125 mile roadside assistance/towing for $245 a year. Is this a good price?

Is there a better company to deal with?

I have Hagerty.

No claims but I quote others every year and Hagerty seems the cheapest for the coverage and amenities.

Collector Car Insurance

We use our American Family INsurance Policy for our M series vehicles but they will not cover the CCKW because it is a "Dump Truck"

We have driven the CCKW under "Tri State" - Continental Western Group or CWG insurance since purchase. Our local insurance agency handles the policy and claims. I like the local service.

All the collector car and truck insurance coverage we have compared seems to be about the same price and coveage.

Keep in mind there are restrictions on when and were you can drive your collector vehicles and how it must be stored (Locked) in a buliding.

No, you can't drive it to work on sunny fridays in July. Check the fine print.

Many of the state historic or collector license plates are restricted use of Historic Military Vehicles and their activities. We are in the process of working thru that here in Wisconson right now.

Collector Car/ Truck seems to be the better way for a 1940's vintage HMV.
