So will the cost of the components. the trolly is missing important components, and yet the components will gross approx $1000.00.,and there is not enough to complete the M-36 Mount. Note the Ring is in less than good condition and may not allow a trolly the precision necessary for smooth functioning. Rings are scarce, and a far cry from the $250.00 price that NOS perfect ones were bringing in 1985. They are a "Demill" item at Disposal Sales now. When new they had a Parkerized finish, and it would be prohibitive to recondition one to factory new condition today. I recently attempted to purchase components, Barrel Clamps, Ammo Trays, and Data Plates from the Current Gov't Contractor, and got the cold shoulder. In the eightys, I was successful in having the M-36 kits fabricated, those days are over, as big brother has prohibited the practice.

Didn't see many from this site bidding, did you see the prices? I was low and the 3 Cast brackets did really well.
The stuff will not get cheaper. Most MG Mount sellers know the value of their product.

I bought the arms and the ring for my dukw. I do not have the legs but aren't they just pipes? Do you guys feel I paid a bit to much for them. I was rather excited when I saw he is only an hour and a half away from me so I will just drive over and pick them up. Thanks for your impute in advance on the prices. I have the trolley and a long stem cradle but I need the ammo tray. Thanks Tim
It wasn't me, I didn't do it.

You need the adapter bracket that goes between the pintle and the ammo can holder. These are very hard to find if not included in the deal. I have only seen one for sale and I bought t Aberdeen

There is no such thing as paying too much, when parts are rare, as these are, there are no sticker prices. What matters is that you are satisfied, and you had the funds to purchase them. I have seen these bracket castings for as little as $250.00, and as much as $700.00 . SARCO in New Jersey has been a supplier of heavy weaponry for 40+ years. They will have much of what you need. I have done business there, it is expensive, but they are the armament specialists and chances are better of finding these parts there. BMG is an advertiser of MG Mounts in MV Magazine and Supply Line they are specialists also. The M.G. mount parts are very hard to find in a hurry, the tubing for the DUKW is unique, as it has special bends. You have a good start though. You should contact Portrayal Press and buy Manuals for the DUKW Mount so that you will be able to better interpret the parts you are missing, as they all have Ordnance Part Numbers. I have bought Mounts for years, and found it is a lot easier to go to the dealers to get satisfaction, as they are familiar with the product. Remember, these are now "demill" items and will not be coming from US Gov't stocks in useable shape, if at all.

Just free enterprise at work;. Supply and demand set the price of the products, and in this case very scarce military parts, that at one time were plentiful . In todays market there is no such thing as paying too much if you want and need that item. Great buy and good luck.
