I had seen this nice looking workshop on eBay last week but I did not expect one of our 514th guys to go out and win it, he is already planning the 600 mile drive back to the U.K from Switzerland.
I think the fridge with the bottle of Jack D in it was what clenched the deal

Looks like an outstanding time. I would have loved to ride along. How much did the fuel set you back on the trip?

Sounds like a neat adventure, to say the least. And a bit of a leap of faith that the truck would make the trip with no issues or breakdowns. Hope they had a good set of tools for the trip just as a precaution.
I just hope drivers are more old/antique friendly than around my house as a long trip with a slow vehicle can be stressful with an idiot right under your rear bumper and trying to pass.
Did they "discover" the R-4 dozer on the trip?
And how many gallons/litres of fuel did they use on the trip?
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Neat....

I think I see an injector pump on the dozer. That would make it a D4
What a nice looking truck....
Hope mine looks that nice if I ever get to it....
