As a service to all list members I purchased at an ebay auction described as
the following.

545 pg. WWII GMC CCKW 352 353 2 1/2 Ton Truck Manual CD

Although I own this manual in printed form I bought it to check it out and I like the fact that I can print out the page(s) that I need and take it to the truck and not worry about it getting soiled or damaged.

The contents are a 37,173 KB acrobat pdf file sent on a single disk

The manual itself is a non-professional scan of TM9-801 dated April 1944 as indicated on the cover page. Page 2 has change #1 Sept. 12 1950.

The over all quality of the product is fair. The scans of the illustrations and pictures that the printed manual contains is poor. It makes it very difficult to read and many of the pictures are indistingushable because they are so dark. Problems with the photographs seems to be the only issue as line drawings are crisp.

There is no quick link reference as their is on some of the Government converted to pdf TM's. This is truly a function of the seller not putting the time into doing it right.

All this really is is a scanned copy of the TM.

Now for the disturbing news this seller is stealing this stuff off the US Army Heritage Collection website and selling it as his own.

It can be downloaded by you here for free..stay away from this seller.

I agree with you Bill. My poor manual now has the oil and grease from my truck on the covers as well as the 60 year old stains. Worth the money if it can be used.
