Another great photo as usual. Love the overall AAC theme as a departure to the Army themes.

happy soldier
Good picture and I also like the AAF theme with the drop tanks in the back ground.
I'm eyeing the Ben Hur water buffalo trailer and it looks to be in great shape and complete. I have one guestion on the CCKW. Is that an air tank on the outer right frame rail under the flat bed? Is there a secondary air system on your truck? The truck sure has come along way since you posted the first pictures of her. Keep up the good work.
But I gotta take some cool points away for the modern sunglasses tucked in the right breast pocket of his wool shirt..... Sorry, I have high standards for Living History displays. Over all though a good impression of AAF by the flightline.
Is the Garand a S.A. or Winchester?
And I would kill to have a Quanset Hut shop for my CCKW in my back yard!!!

I noticed the sunglasses after dad took the pic. He was in a hurry to get the truck packed and go home so there was no time to get a second photo without the glasses. Also the boots are not correct. In regards to the air tank, the truck used to have an air horn on the cab and I think that tank was the air resivor for the air horn. Since the pic was taken I have removed the tank. We used the CCKW as a stage truck for an air show. The water buffalo trailer is for sale. The garand was built by a gunsmith in northern CA. A friend refers to it as a "Garand salad".

41CCKW I agree with Colin, you have really done a great job with that old beauty and keep up the good work. I was drooling over the Water Buffalo too Colin.
