thanks All!

That would be my truck. Dave Austin, Frisco, TX

The paint is Gillespie paint, Early Lusterless ww2. (Sorry, cant remember the color number)

She aint perfect, but she is releiable.

It started life as a simple cargo truck, but some post war owner added a dump bed with what appears to be a treu ww2 hoist.

Anyway, thanks for the compliments!

Hi,

I too was struck by the nice color. Use the same color paint, just didn't realize how nice the color looks in certain light. Good job on the 1 1/2 ton Chevy.

thanks Guys.

Yes, the pictures came out great that day. It was geting near dusk, so the lighting must have been perfect!

Well, yes, it was Craigs old truck.

After buying this "Restored" vehicle I sure had a lot to address to get it where I felt it was dependable.

I do in fact have all the canvas and hoops for it.

Yea, it aint perfect, and it aint 100% authentic either. The dump bed was added later in life, proabably hauled chicken SH*T all its post war life. :)

No windshield wipers in this photo, but they are now on the truck and functioning. :)

Thanks for all the positive comments.

Make it reliable so that you feel comfortable driving it anywhere :)

I love that color. I use that Gillespie color on all of mine; early, late, etc.

She is a beauty! :D
