I was looking at the LST photo of troops on the way to Iwo. Probably Army rather than USMC, by the look of the Dodges and other gear.
Those boys are loaded and locked! Looks like a AAA outfit. I count at least 5 Quad .50 Cal gun mounts on trailers. They must have loaded them on the open deck to allow them to repair, train, test fire etc. The CCKW's that would have pulled them must be on the tank deck below.
