Re: Picture of the Week 12/13/2010
Hi Bill. Tank you for making the "Picture of the week" with my Gmc. I have just bought it In Rome, Italy.
I use this opportunity to launch an appeal to all of you. The still body of this truck of mine it' a post war rebuilt. I would like to rebuilt it with correct shape, material and dimensions. My frame number truck is 378000 BI. It must be a july 1944 and it should have had the winch in front. So far as I can tell it should have had a composit bed body.
I am drawing by pictures dowloaded from the web and from this forum all the body panels.
I would like to post them (but I don't find out how to do it. Help!) on this forum waiting for some kind spirit to help me filling the misures taked from an original and sended back to me.
Many thancks to all. hoping to be helpful to some of you too.
Paolo

Paolo,
Most European surplus trucks went through rebuild workshops to make them ready for the countries to re arm themselves, mainly during early 1950's. Believe it or not many where rebuilt in Germany..your lucky to have a good bed on it as over in the U.S.A they seem to be very scarce.. Your truck looks very nice.

Re: Picture of the Week 12/13/2010
Thank you Chris, Armydriver and Kevinabr for your replay and compliments.
Unfortunately the body of my truck has been totally rebuilt in a wrong way and totally in hiron while it should be a composit bed. I would like to rebuilt it all again with correct dimentions and materials. Right now I have downloaded a lot of pictures from the forum and from internet and drawn them with the dimentions, to fill, I need to know. If anybody of you has a composit beb to misure and can do this job for me I will apprecciate it a lot.
Opening the link below you can have the draw in a word format ready to be printed.
I hope to be usefull to you as well some time.
Thanks a lot,
Paolo
