Any reports on the HP and torque at the wheels? I'm curious how much power these things loose through all the gears in the trans, transfer, and diffs vs the specs in the manual for the engine.

I had to get it tested after I put the small block 400 Chevy with an 850 cfm Holley and 3/4 race cam in it. :)

I am surprised that no one questioned my note about a 400 cid small block. No I was just joking. It has the 302 that I installed about 11 years ago.

The dyno vendor (just 4 miles down the street) wanted to do a photo shoot of their $105,000 dyno with an HMV on it. That is the actual photo, not adjusted in any way. It was a bit tricky getting the CCKW up on there. A CCKW is about 8" narrower then a more modern truck, I have very little room to spare getting up there or off.

What's this device used for? Testing brakes? Creating electricity? I don't understand.

It measures horse power at the wheels by turning the rollers connected to a generator

Well were you just up there for show or did the machine give you some numbers to share with us reguardless of the power plant swap in the truck?
