In the position of the original engine data plate, there is a replacement data plate from I assume the Netherlands (my CCKW is an Army of the Netherlands return). I was wondering if any of our Netherlands colleagues would interpet the nomemclature?
It says;
Merktype
(a nice crown imprint)
Firma
CW
Datum
26-9-59(exactly two weeks
before I was born!)
Zuigeroverm.St.B 020
Drufstang + of -
Drufstanghals- 010
Hoofdlagers 013
Volgnummer 13465
for the balance of the translation here you go
Zuigeroverm.St.B 020 Drufstang + or - Drufstanghals - 010 head-lower one 013 serial number 13465
you can take any text and go to http://babelfish.altavista.com/
and translate it from or to english from eleven different languages
not always perfectly but close enough you can figure it out . Hope that helps

That was great hearing what the translations were...thanks everyone. I left the dataplate where it was put by the overhaulers years ago because it's a fascinating part of the history of this truck. Some purist might think that was heresy but I think it's all very interesting. Thanks again for the explaination/translation. Hammerhead
