OVERSEAS REPRINT SNLS

There is evidence of the WWII Chevrolet and CCKW Parts Manuals that were reprinted for the French army. I have a 1945 ORD 9 for the Chevrolet that is a French Army reprint dated 1960. It is in English but the reprint date is noted in French. Bought it at Sarafans in the 60s. They had a nice selection of parts for all WWII Vehicles back then. Not so now, as times have changed and the WWII parts are long gone. Many of the new WWII TMs I have for Dodge WC, Chevy and Diamond T that I have in my private collection were bought at Sarafans for $10.00 ea. They were a fun place to do business with.

I have two manuals that were sent to me from my friend in Sweden on the CCKW's that are reprints of the U.S. TM's but in a language that I can't read. The books say TH-9-2320-25/203-35D/H

I have a French parts manual I bought in France back in 89 if someone would like to purchase it.

Use to go to the open house at Sarafans every year. Ut was a good time to see old friends and buy some parts from the flea-marketeers aor Sarafans.

Joel: Who was the repro manual guy from NJ/NY? (not Dennis for Portrayal). I have not heard anything from him in years.

Stan Poole, he is retired, and lives out West. He is very hardz to get by phone. His interest was in Very Heavy WWII WWII 6X6 Tank Retriever types like the Dragon Wagon(you know, the ones you can nearly stand up under), and his favorite 6X6 is the Early REO M-35 with the Gold Comet Power Plant. He is looking for the manual on the R-6602 continental, TM9-1837A. He still has rare manuals, but like many of us older collectors, he trusted others with his rare manuals in hopes of gaining a few for himself and got screwed much of the time. He is real tight with what he has left. Thanks to Stan's generosity 30 years ago, there are repros of many rare manuals out there today.
