The GMC CCKW

After many nights of study a couple years ago with the GMC Master Parts Book 1940, 1941, 1942 I decoded the numbers.

The 35 is the weight/size series of truck and the last 3 is the wheelbase. I have the numbers I figured out and will post them when I find them. They were in ranges of wheelbase; from xxx to yyy is a 3 while nnn to qqq is a 4 for example

Bills searchlight truck picture that he posted is an AFWX-354 because of the wheelbase.

What was the range of the wheelbase regarding the last prefix?
Both the ACKWX-353 (162" wheelbase) and CCKW-353 (164" wb) is in the same range.
Did -353 go all the way from 158" to 166"? (The 4x4 GMC ACK-353 has 158" wb)
The AFWX-354 has a wb at 167" being the "next prefix"
The smalest wb on -352 I know is the GMC-AFKX-352 with wb 131". This would represent a wide range... all the way up to 145" on the CCKW-352
Or haven't I got the clue???

You are on the right track. I had to go round and round a couple of times with my GMC Master Parts Books from ww2 and just before to 'test' my assumptions with different vehicles.
