Do not attempt to pressure wash it, the Canvas will be permanently ruined.
It is best to leave those grease spots. The Army did say at one time that a light scrubbing with a GI Scrub brush GI Soap and warm water could be done.

That is a given. To wash away that faulous smell would be a sin, besides the fact that the canvas would lose it's protective coating.
