Hi,

I'm wondering if these CCKW close cab floor mats are WWII vintage or if they were produced after the war? Or maybe, they are made for civilian trucks?

Some says they are anti-mines mats to prevent shrapnel's to injury the driver when the truck explodes on a mine. Others says they are just rubber mats.

When packed, these floor mats looks like that.

I also heard about floor mats for open cabs.

open cab cckw's did not have floor mats instead used a nonskid paint on the floor board that bolts down to the floor of the cab. Nonskid is a paint mixed with a coarse sand like mixture when rolled on gives a rough surface.

nice find on the floor mats!

I have two, one is soon going to be installed in my 1574 Cab that I just had restored and installed in october.
It took two months under a weighted sheet of plywood to get it to lay flat.
I am willing to sell or trade the NOS spare for NOS CCKW cosmetic items.
