Kevin, although that trailer approximates to an M14 Directors, I thinks it a post war fit out, as was done by the French and others.
The drop down tail board and the tow bar assembly suggests its probably the rolling chassis from a M7 generator trailer, with a post war house on it.
Nice though, a worthy project.

Kevin,
Nice looking project. I concur with Karoshi that it is a post war retrofit.
What a great looking junkyard/toy store! I see a floater Weasel in one of the pictures. Is that for sale too?
There have been several new joiners after your post who I would imagine are joining so they can contact you. Be prepared to be bombarded about where this yard is.
If you get the chance post up more pictures.

Kevin,
As a follow-up...I have a 1953 dated TM for the Directors trailer family. It does not show any type of box like the one pictured. A broad equipment TM from the 60's (will ad the number as soon as I find it) does show the G221 trailer still in active military service on its pages. Most were open trailers used by Radar units.
From the pictures I believe this base trailer to be manufacturer by Brill.

Kevin,
The data plates I have seen are on the front side of the trailer. The M-1 is on the right front side the M-7 is dead center.
The 1962 TM I found is TM 9-500 Data sheets for Ordnance Type Materiel. It pictures two post war built directors type trailers both having to do with missile launching. They are referred to as XM324 and XM 325.
They differ significantly with what you have pictured as the leveling jacks for these XM trailers are completely mounted on the outside of the trailer body.
I need to find my TM on the M-17 & M-22 directors trailers to see if they reference a wood floor.
