i found a Studebaker us6 (need help to save it)
hi everybody,
its been a while since ive been on this forum
but i just found a Studebaker us-6 and the guy wants scrap value for it
im going to pick it up no matter what, but i was wondering how hard are these things to get parts for?

If I remember correctly, the axles, xfer, and tranny (mostly) are the same as a split CCKW. The engine is a Herc flathead and naturally the sheetmetal is different.

one issue with the truck is a tree put a pretty good dent in the roof, and depending on how bad the floor, and the rest of the cab are i may be looking for a replacement cab
is there a civlian studebaker truck that had the same cab?
would a CCKW open cab fit?

ok heres an update
i have found a studebaker US-6 in Trevorton Pennsylvainna, that will be scraped December 31 if no one takes any action
i am going to check it out this weekend sunday dec 13 and see if i have the logistics to salvage it
are their any people that would be intrested in it if i can not get it??

dump bed is post war REO if im not misstaking trucks seems in "good" condition save it
