I will keep my eyes open for you. When I had my 43 GPW I accidently came across a set of radios for it at a local flea market and they were cheap. If I run across anything I will PM you.

These sets are available UK side, thro the likes of ArmyRadio.Com. Ben Azari will surely help, but shipment might be a problem to the USA

Brian,

Would you mind telling me what book you are using for your research information that you posted pictures of.

Thanks

Hi, it is from a manual entitled "Signal Section Air Service Command - VHF Fighter Control Equipment Handbook." It was produced by Signal Section, Air Service Command, Patterson Field, Fairfield, OH.

If you want a copy I will give you the contact information of the person who sold it to me as it is a very nice repro.

Does anyone know if the trailer in the first picture is a Ben Hur just relabled as a K- series trailer?

Hi Brian,

Yes the trailer is a Ben Hur but by the looks of it the wooden sides are higher than the normal cargo model.

I have some info on Signal Corps trailers which I will copy and send along with the LeRoi info.

If you can get the radio equipment you need from the UK and need help with shipping just let me know.

The genset is the PE99 which is physically much smaller than the PE95 (10kw) that the SCR-299 and SCR-399 used. It looks about the same size as my M5 3kw 3 phase WW2 genset

So... anyone know where I could find a PE-99? :?

I went looking for a Ben Hur trailer that I saw a year or so ago in a neighborhood a few miles away. I couldn't find it though... but I know of another one that's not too far away...
