Hello Frank NL:

Lovely truck! Where did you find chevron tread tyres for the rear or are they originals?

Cheers! Mike

Hello Mike,

Thanks. The tyres where already on the truck when i bought it. They look like the first original tyres but are not. They are moderntyres from ..... i dont now the english word for that. Those vehicles the farmers have. I dont now the brand of it but if you like i can write it next time down for you. I only now that they are 10 ply.

Hi Frank:

Please copy the words as they appear on the tyres... I speak German and French so between us we should be able to figure them out.

Groet! Mike

Tractors

Post by Canadian Gunner »

Hi Frank:

I understood what you meant!

As a Gunner (artilleryman) I tend to use the word "tractor" to describe anything that pulls an artillery piece. Being a farm kid from Canada I know it also means those red or blue or green/yellow beasts that pull ploughs (plows to our cousins to the South  ).

See my museum website: www.calnan.com/swords

Cheers! Mike
