I had to take my CCKW banjo xfer out because it was growling.
At the suggestion of Jole Gapan, I bought M211/M135 seals from Joel for the case and installed them along with one new bearing and a new gasket set.
If you have ever put in a banjo xfer, you know what a pain it is to put in.
I decided to try something new this time. I decided to try installing the upper shaft while it was on the floor. I locked the parking brake band with a welding clamp and blocked the rear wheels. I made sure the U-joint was position at 12, 3, 6, and 9 O'clock. This way, the xfer could only tilt forward and back. I carefully placed a floor jack under the U-joint flange for that upper shaft and another jack under the front lower U-joint flange. Going back and forth, I slowly lifted the case until it entered the mounting brackets, Then I took a 3rd floor jack and lifted it from the flat spot on the bottom. It went right up into position and with just a little prying it back to get the bolts to line up and it was done. MUCH easier than using a tranny jack with the xfer is not too fond of.
BTW, the seals work unbelieveably well. Not a drop! The only problem in using them is that I had to work the U-joint flanges into the seal mounted in the mounting flange then mount the flange and the whole assy at the same time.

Hi Doc,
Do you have any part number of those m211/M135 seals?
Would like to get those seals somewhere over here (Holland)
Thanks, Bart

They came in a can and I don't recall a pn on them. You could try Joel. I don't know if he sells overseas or not.
