Ford 1943 military truck.

I never saw a Ford military 1943 engine like this.Generally Ford were with V8 engine.This engine is a flathead six.Its distributor place is different Dodge 1940/1954. :shock:Anyone know why?

Nice looking truck. Should be a good restoration candidate.

The triangular paint mark with three holes on the left front fender is typical of a siren light mount for the 40's truck. This could have been a fire truck when built. Maybe that is why it is a 6 cylinder

Ford GTBs AKA 'Burma Jeeps " had an inline "Ford " 6 cylinder power plant

If I remember correctly, Ford had a coupe of 6 cyl engines with different numbers/patterns of head bolts.

Valve adjustment is unbeleiveable for a "modern' engine!
