I have a CCW 353 which is a 4X2 version of the CCKW. It is a 1942 with a series 2 hydrovac. I have been running without the hydrovac for about 4 years. I have the unit in place but it is completely out of the brake circuit. It will skid the tires on dry pavement. I do not haul loads with my truck because it is just for parade and show use now.
I would like to find an outfit that sells rebuild kits for the series two.
1942 CCW353 2.5 ton
1942 Chevy 1.5 ton dump
1944 Willys Jeep
2nd series hydrovac rebuild kit

You could try Rex Ward in the UK, I recently bought some Series 2 hydaulic seals, he indicated he had complete overhaul kits, check his website: http://www.dukw.freeserve.co.uk/
