I was just wondering if anyone has an idea why CCKW's with chassis numbers between #40,000 and 90,000 appear rarer than either earlier or later trucks? fewer would seem to have survived.these are the trucks covered by TM 10-1147 and TM 10-1269.
One suggestion is these are the trucks that would have more than likely gone to the Pacific theatre and would have been worked to death and not worth returning by war's end.
