42 CCKW on Ebay

Post by armydriver »

There is a 42 CCKW on Ebay that looks like a pretty long term project. No bed, intermediate drive shaft missing, but still a restorable truck . Too far away from me in California but could end up being a pretty good looking truck someday.

But did you see the opening bid amount?? $1600 for a truck missing some MAJOR parts! The last open cab truck, including extra parts like a winch setup, etc only brought about $2,300 if I remember correctly.

You are right on that one. He is high on his opening and probably won't get it, but then a lot of people think that if something is from WWII it must be worth a lot of money. :D

The remaining Differential may be NG as it looks like the truck was used for heavy loads. The X-Fer may have suffered also, due to this experiment.
