Decals.

Post by Matt »

Hi,

I'm looking for details of the WW2 270 engine decals, either pictures or original examples.as far as I know there were three decals used, octane rating, tappet setting and oil drain.if I can get enough info I'm going to get a run of these made.

Another decal used on the CCKW is listed in the TM 10's but I have never seen one is part number "2105947 caution sticker-speedometer." any suggestions on this??

Thanks,

Matt.

I will try to work on it with you. I know of a NOS Engine, but the owner may not cooperate,as he sells his information.

I bet you are having same trouble I have experienced, the "DeBug" gibberish thing. I will try to corner my wife to find the Canvas pics tonite or tomorrow. Or the warning that this was not supposed to happen. Someone must be trying to tell us something.

Folks,

I am sorry about the Debug thing....

The hosting service keeps telling me there is nothing wrong but obviously they are full of...well you know.

It has been escalated to a Senior Tech rep...so we will see what happens.

In the mean time I suggest you all ad your direct email address to your profile so it will place the email button on your posts.

If you don't want to expose your home email consider a free hotmail or yahoo account.

Just an update on the decals.I now have photos of them in which I can read most of the wording and get the scale, what I really need now is confirmation of the wording. from what I can tell the decals tappet, gas rating and sump are yellow with black lettering and a black edge. I would welcome any info on the colours for the AC filter decals. also did the T-2 fuel filter have a decal on it?

Before I actually jump in and get these made does anyone in the US already make decals for the 270? I have tried Chevs of the 40's,Midwest Mil etc and all the dealers over here and no one seems to make them.
