Shifting Arrangement Plate

I went to a Hod Rod Show last weekend with my 1942 Ford GPW and 1943 Bantam T-3 Trailer and a fellow exhibitor gave me an old shifting pattern plate. Once I realized it was an originial CCKW plate, I got quite excited! When I took it home and cleaned up the plate, I realized that it was not like the reproduction plate that I had on the truck. (My truck is an ex-French with all the original plates removed).

Upon examination, my repro plate was like the one on page D-6 of TM 10-1563. Since I have a 1944 CCKW 353B2, the correct one and the one I just got was like the one on page 30 of TM 9-801. There is a difference!
There are different labels' locations; and different order of presentation as to where the various diagrams are on the plate. The metal is the same.

Don't ya just love it when people walk up to you at a show and give you stuff.

It says they want to see an item go to a good home. Entire collections of vehicles have started that way. Glad to hear that data plate has found its proper home.

That is great Capt. I also love it when someone has some old artifact to give you. It is like Christmas and your birthday all rolled up into one.
